Del Arte opens a brand new restaurant in Rennes!

24 October 2023

In line with its development ambitions in the afterwork segment, Del Arte is opening RENata in the city where its headquarters are located.

A third opening that continues the momentum set in Joué-lès-Tours and Nanterre.

An award-winning and innovative concept!

Del Arte, the leader in Italian dining in France, officially opened a new restaurant in Rennes on Tuesday, October 17th.

A city particularly dear to the brand as it hosts its headquarters, but also intimately connected to the history of Groupe Le Duff: since its founding in Brittany in 1976, the desire to remain established locally and contribute to the economic activity of the region has always been at the core of the Group’s DNA and values.

Named RENata, this new establishment shows a strong focus on Aperitivo, with a large bar-counter space open all day and a brand new offer of drinks and shareable products, especially around pizza. This choice fits the environment of the restaurant, located in the heart of Rennes near a cinema and a performance hall, aligning with Del Arte’s development ambitions in the afterwork segment.

Employing about twenty staff members, this new restaurant located on the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle covers 237 m² with 136 indoor seats, plus an outdoor terrace of 134 m² with 134 seats. It will be managed by Ludovic Enos.

This opening follows the new restaurant concept launched last December in Joué-lès-Tours, designed around three dedicated spaces to meet all consumption occasions: RISTORANTE, APERITIVO, and TAKEAWAY.

Ten months after opening, this new restaurant already shows excellent results, with a 30% increase in wine and cocktail sales thanks to the prominent role of the bar in the APERITIVO space. Meanwhile, revenue from the RISTORANTE section exceeded the brand’s expectations, notably due to an average ticket 10% higher than the network’s and strong evening service performance. This new cozy and warm room format meets consumer expectations and makes the Joué-lès-Tours restaurant a true destination spot.

Following Joué-lès-Tours, Del Arte inaugurated the first urban version of the new concept in Nanterre in March 2023, demonstrating its desire to establish itself in high-traffic zones, especially downtown areas.

The new Del Arte concept has been recognized twice in recent months. On April 6th, at the 2nd edition of the B.R.A Chains and Restaurant Concepts “Food Trends” convention, B.R.A Tendances Restauration magazine awarded the brand the “Best Revamped Concept” trophy.

More recently, on October 4th, 2023, the brand was named “Best Concept of the Year” during the 11th edition of Retail Days, the summit for retail leaders, competing against retail giants like Ikea, Leroy Merlin, Printemps, Monoprix…
