ENDOWMENT FUND LOUIS LE DUFF

Origin and mission

Since its foundation, the Group has upheld values of sharing, promoting craftsmanship, and advocating for high-quality food. In line with these commitments, the Louis Le Duff Endowment Fund was created.

It supports, in France and internationally, all initiatives of general interest that contribute to healthy eating, health through nutrition, and the promotion of French food expertise, as well as any other non-profit initiatives.

Sharing and promoting culinary know-how worldwide

Supporting young people through gastronomy

Committed to youth apprenticeship, Louis Le Duff and the Fund actively support the Best Apprentices of France competition, a demanding journey organised at local and national levels.

They also support educational programmes led by professional chefs, raising young people’s awareness of healthy and sustainable eating while teaching them the fundamentals and techniques of cooking.

Sharing and keeping culinary heritage alive

The Endowment Fund supports the creation of books that showcase the transmission of culinary know-how and gastronomic heritage.

Through the books Recettes & Transmission and Recettes de Famille, it highlights food professions, the sharing of culinary know-how, and the passing down of recipes from one generation to the next.

Access to food

Promoting access to quality food for schoolchildren

As part of the Printemps engagé initiative, the Louis Le Duff Endowment Fund supports projects led notably by the Sourires d’Enfants association, aimed at improving schoolchildren’s dining conditions.

These initiatives enable children to enjoy their meals in better conditions. In Laos, a canteen, a vegetable garden and a chicken coop were built for a primary school, and in Madagascar, a canteen for four schools.

Supporting organisations committed to tackling food insecurity

The Endowment Fund partners with the La Tablée des Chefs, which engages students from hospitality schools in preparing meals for food aid organisations, while raising their awareness of the social impact of their profession.

It also supported the France Food Forum in 2025, bringing together stakeholders from gastronomy, agriculture, health and environment to address food-related challenges.

Nutrition and health

Improving the lives of patients and caregivers

Since 2017, the Louis Le Duff Endowment Fund has supported the Nominoë Fund of Rennes University Hospital, which is committed to innovative projects serving patients, healthcare professionals and families. Through this support, it helps improve comfort and reception conditions within the hospital.

As part of this commitment, the book Prendre soin, produced in partnership with the Nominoë Fund, highlights more than ten years of collective commitment and the achievements made possible thanks to donors and sponsors: family accommodation facilities, multisensory carts, interactive ceilings, etc.

Nominoë is a unique initiative: bringing together the hospital community, economic stakeholders and citizens to improve patients’ comfort in hospitals.”                                                                                                                Maryvonne Le Duff – Nominoë Board Member
