LE DUFF Group: 40 years of success

  • Opening of the first Brioche Dorée in Brest

    With the equivalent of €1,500, Louis LE DUFF opened the first Brioche Dorée in Brest in 1976.


  • Creation of Pizzeria Lucio

    Louis LE DUFF opened the first restaurant of the chain, called Pizzeria Lucio at the time, in 1983.

  • Arrival of Bridor in Europe

    The bread and pastry production site, already present in North America, set up shop in Servon Sur Vilaine, near Rennes. Today, half of Bridor's turnover comes from abroad.

  • Acquisition of fournil de Pierre

    The pleasure of artisan bread. The brand proposes a range of around 20 artisan breads, some of which are made with organic flour.

  • Acquisition of Pizza Del Arte from the Accor group

    LE DUFF Group acquires the restaurant chain from the Accor Group. The Group is reorganising its new establishments with a view to develop them.

  • Acquisition of La Madeleine in the US

    French cuisine in America. La Madeleine headquarters are in Texas.

  • Inauguration of the Group's 500th restaurant

    Twenty-two years after the opening of its first restaurant, Le Duff Group inaugurated its 500th establishment.

  • Group's 30th anniversary

    The Group celebrated its 30th anniversary on the Route du Rhum in St Malo.

  • Acquisition of Au Pain Doré

    Au Pain Doré operates from Canada and offers a wide selection of typically French breads and pastries.

  • Creation of Ferme des Loges

    Ready-made dishes prepared with fresh farm products. Preparation of organic ready-made dishes for hotels and restaurants.

  • 2011 Acquisition of Bruegger's in the US

    Bruegger’s is one of the leading bagel restaurants in the US. This acquisition represented 300 points of sale.

  • Acquisition of Timothy’s Café in the US

    Timothy’s is a chain of high-end coffee shops, with more than 110 restaurants in North America from Toronto to New York State.

  • Acquisition of Mimi's Cafe and opens first Bruegger's in France

    In 2013 LE DUFF Group acquired Mimi's Café in the USA. The restaurant chain has 145 restaurants on the west coast of the US.

    That same year, the best bagels in North America came to France with the opening of the first Bruegger's restaurant in Rennes.

  • Acquisition of Kamps in Germany

    Kamps is one of the leading Café Bakery restaurants in Germany. This acquisition represents 500 points of sale.
