On the occasion of this day dedicated to learning, Louis LE DUFF (President Founder of Groupe LE DUFF) presented a check for 50,000 euros to the National Society of the Best Craftsmen of France, represented by its President Jean-François Girardin.
A discovery day dedicated to transmission
On the agenda: visit to Bridor in Servon-sur-Vilaine, followed by practical workshops led by MOF Baker Frédéric Lalos around sourdoughs and bread baking, then a tasting of products within the Group’s Culinary Academy.
The MOFs present (Jean-Jacques Massé, Jean-François Girardin, Frédéric Lalos, Marc Foucher) and the Chefs of the Bridor R&D team also shared their testimonies about the trade during an exchange session with the MAFs. A moment of sharing that reflects the Group’s commitment to the transmission of culinary know-how.
“We are delighted and proud to welcome for the second consecutive year the Best Apprentices of France to the Culinary Academy, our global R&D center” – says Louis Le Duff, President-Founder of Groupe LE DUFF.
An exceptional partnership since 2006
This event highlights the long-standing relationship between Groupe Le Duff and the National Society of the Best Craftsmen of France to encourage the training of young talents.
Since 2006, the two parties have engaged in a partnership aimed at promoting the excellence work of the MOFs and MAFs, as well as the expertise of Groupe Le Duff, a world leader in bakery-pastry, café-bakery, and pizza-pasta sectors.
Groupe LE DUFF created a Culinary Academy at its headquarters in Rennes, a global R&D center to test new concepts, products, and recipes. This Culinary Academy is also a training place for employees, customers, and franchisees of the Group, where Chefs also participate to train young talents in cooking.
Since its creation in 1976, Groupe LE DUFF has trained over 2,500 apprentices.
A financial support of €50,000 to promote apprenticeship
On this day, Louis Le Duff presented a check for 50,000 euros to the National Society of the Best Craftsmen of France represented by Jean-François Girardin
“I have always been a strong supporter of French artisanal know-how, which the MOFs strive to represent daily at the international level. We share a lot: constant attention to quality and excellence, the transmission of knowledge, and a focus on the human aspect. That is why I decided to donate €50,000 to the National Society of the Best Craftsmen of France to finance the apprenticeship of the MAFs. They represent the future of French gastronomy ” – explains Louis Le Duff.
“Craftsmanship and industry, both are complementary in our economy. When you see that there were over 830,000 apprenticeship contracts in 2022 across all trades, it shows that young people are once again attracted to craftsmanship and the agri-food sector. This is very good news! And their main aspiration is often entrepreneurial” – adds Jean-François Girardin.
