Our story

Founded in 1983, Bruegger’s quickly became the trans-Atlantic leader in bagels. Today, over 300 bakery café restaurants open every year in 26 states in the US, the District of Columbia and Canada.

Our restaurants serve 33 million customers every year. In 2012, Bruegger’s had $216 million in turnover. Following this success, we joined LE DUFF Group in 2011 and opened our first restaurant in France in Rennes in 2013.

For 30 years, we've been making bagels with an authentic New York recipe. This recipe is one of a kind and made using natural and simple ingredients: flour, water, salt, yeast and malt. Nothing more, nothing less.

LE DUFF Group has been in North America since 1987. With Bruegger’s it reinforces its position on the American market and ranks second worldwide in the "bakery café" segment.

Today, Bruegger’s is focused on the international roll-out of its restaurants, following the opening of its first restaurant in France in 2013.
